Travel the Coast of Siasi Island Virtually
It is my dream to see Siasi, Sulu, homeland of many Central Sama speakers. For now, watching this video is the next best thing from taking a boat ride around the coast of Siasi.
It is my dream to one day get to see Siasi, Sulu, the homeland of many Central Sama, that is speakers of the Central Sinama language. Here in mainland Mindanao I get to interact with Sama from several coastal and smaller island communities from around the Siasi area. I learned Sinama from Sama Silompak in Davao and made friends with Sama Punungan and Sama Laminusa as well. Now a lot of my posts are influenced by Sama Musuꞌ along with Sama from Manubal and others from South Laud in M’ddas. A sister-in-law took this video of the Siasi coast and my brother-in-law helped me to identify several communities in the video. For now, watching this video is the next best thing from taking a boat ride around the coast of Siasi. I hope that those from Siasi as well as those with dreams of traveling to Siasi can enjoy this video:
