Languages of the Southern Gateway Video Phrasebook Project
The book, “Languages of the Southern Gateway” was published by the Summer Institute of Linguistics and the Philippines Department of Education in 1979. The Kauman Sama Phrasebook project seeks to adapt that book to video making it even easier for Sama to study not only the English and Filipino languages but also the intricacies of their own language Sinama. The Languages of the Southern Gateway Phrasebook video also allows other Filipinos to learn to the Central Sinama language.
Following the completion of the Sinama-Filipino-English version, we look forward to also including a Sinama-Tausug-Malayu version and also a Sinama-Chavacano-Filipino version. Keep checking this post and the youtube playlist for the addition of new videos and new languages.
